Welder - Structural

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of construction site operations. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Structural Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and structural components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct fabrication tasks including assembly, machining, and ductwork installation.
• Operate cranes and forklifts for material handling as needed.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all welding processes.
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure precision in work.
• Engage in rigging activities as required for lifting heavy materials or components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, soldering, and pipe threading.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery including press brake machines.
• Familiarity with basic math principles for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
