Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding and fabrication of structural metal components used in construction and industrial projects. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical fabrication will ensure the integrity and safety of our structures. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures.
• Perform welding using various techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) to join structural steel, sheet metal, and other metal materials.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances during fabrication.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components accurately.
• Measure, mark, cut, thread pipes, and assemble structural elements according to technical specifications while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and OSHA standards throughout the fabrication process.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or in shop environments to ensure timely completion of tasks with quality craftsmanship.

Qualifications:

**MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN OPEN ROOT 3G MIG, FLUX CORE FILL AND CAP TEST ON PLATE

• Minimum 1 year previous welding experience, either MIG or FLUX.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic safety training.
• Must have a firm understanding of volts and amps and be able to adjust accordingly.
• Basic data entry skills for maintenance breakdown calls.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints, work order instructions, weld symbols, and operate required tools involved in position.
• Good problem-solving skills, safety practices, and attention to quality.
• Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures – detect defects.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
