Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will help ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts that meet safety standards and project requirements. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project specifications.
• Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), gas metal arc welding.
• Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tool, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment.
• Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits.
• Operate rigging equipment, pipe threading tools, and perform ductwork assembly for construction projects.
• Use machining tools for metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, and finishing metal materials.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling heavy machinery, power tools, and welding equipment; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with assembly of fabricated parts into completed structures or systems as required on construction sites or within fabrication shops.
• Support construction site activities by providing skilled welding and fabrication services for structural steel, piping, or ductwork installations.
• Conduct quality inspections on finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications.

Experience

• Experience working in a fabrication shop environment with metal materials such as sheet metal, structural steel, or piping components.
• Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and gas metal arc welding.
• Willing to learn.
• Prior experience with fabrication tools like plasma cutters is highly desirable.
