Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator with at least 1-2 years of hands on fabrication experience (excluding trade school or vocational training) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the fabrication and welding of metal railings and related components for apartment complexes. This includes deck railings, stair railings, sidewalk handrails, etc.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate railings and other components needed for multifamily construction projects
• Measure, cut, fit, and prepare steel components according to shop drawings
• Tack railings together and perform the final MIG welding
• Grind, clean, and finish products to company quality standards
• Operate equipment including saws, grinders, drills, ironworkers and other shop tools
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of fabrication in a professional shop environment (trade school or welding school alone does not qualify)
• Experience with MIG welding and steel fabrication
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic shop math
• Experience cutting, fitting, tacking, and welding fabricated assemblies
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing as required
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Positive attitude, motivated, humble, and team oriented

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 55.0 per week
