Welder/Fabricator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in interpreting technical drawings, measuring instruments, and various welding techniques will be essential to delivering high-quality products. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding of metal components.
• Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
• Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to achieve exact specifications.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials.
• Fabricate metal structures by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling sheet metal and other fabricated parts while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain quality control by inspecting welds and fabricated parts for defects or inconsistencies using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
• Follow safety procedures diligently on construction sites or fabrication shops to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of metal materials and fabrication processes.
• Hands-on experience with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
• Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and measuring instruments accurately.
• Prior work experience in metal fabrication or mechanical fabrication environments is highly preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
