Welder/Fabricator

K&G is currently searching for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in fabricating and welding. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who is able to work independently and is committed to maintaining product quality.

Candidates MUST have experience in:

• Steel Fabrication, Blueprint Reading, Weld Symbols (AWS and ISO); Weld joint prep;
• Welding: Welding Machine Set-up; Mig/Stick/Arc welding and hardfacing of carbon, stainless and low alloy steels using solid and flux-cored wire. Finishing of welds (chipping, grinding, sanding)
• Material Handling: Telehandler and Overhead hoist use.
• Measurement Skills: Tape measure, Scale, Calipers, Fillet weld gauge.

Job duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints
• Regularly required are standing, walking, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb, work outside, . Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move upwards to 100 pounds.
• Arc gouges, grinds, and buffs to clean and blend for quality weldments.
• Repair weldments, changes tips, drive gears, conduit liners, welding gun assemblies and gas bottles.
• Move parts and components to and from job areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
