Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and parts, ensuring safety and precision at every step. Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately guide welding and assembly processes.
• Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and power tools to ensure precise cuts, measurements, and assembly of sheet metal and other metal materials.
• Operate plasma cutters, machining tools, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
• Fabricate metal structures by cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and assembling sheet metal and other materials while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized fabrication shop environment while following all safety procedures related to welding and machining operations.
• Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks involving mechanical fabrication and interpretation of technical drawings to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven construction site experience or background in metal fabrication environments.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including plasma cutting, machining, assembly, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience working with power tools and hand tools safely in a manufacturing or construction setting.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping is a plus.
• Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols related to welding operations and machinery use.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $25.34 - $30.52 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
