Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal components and structures with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will contribute to delivering high-quality products that meet project specifications. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements.
• Perform welding using various techniques such as MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW, and SMAW (stick welding) on different metal materials including sheet metal, pipe, and structural steel.
• Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to meet precise measurements.
• Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit-up and alignment.
• Cut, shape, assemble, and weld ductwork, piping, and sheet metal structures following ASME codes & standards and AWS (American Welding Society) guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute fabrication tasks efficiently.

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction site welding and fabrication projects.
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW (stick welding), and gas metal arc welding.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints.
• Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise fabrication work.
• Familiarity with pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining processes, soldering, and metal materials handling.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while following safety protocols diligently.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices.
• Experience working on fabrication shop floors or construction sites with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding environments and heavy machinery operation.

Pay: $26.61 - $35.00 per hour
