  • Shop Equipment: Experience operating saws, grinders, drills, and fabrication equipment.
  • Independent Work: Ability to complete fabrication projects with minimal supervision.
  • Field Installations: Willingness and ability to perform occasional local equipment installations and modifications.
  • Quality and Safety: Strong attention to dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and safe work practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with LightWELD handheld laser welding equipment.
  • Experience operating a Marvel Ironworker or similar punching, shearing, and notching equipment.
  • Stainless steel fabrication for food-processing equipment.
  • Conveyor, machine frame, platform, and industrial equipment fabrication.
  • Forklift operation, rigging, and equipment installation.
  • Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld custom metal components and assemblies.
  • Read engineering drawings and determine appropriate fabrication methods.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and laser welding as needed.
  • Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Work with engineering and production personnel to resolve fabrication issues.
  • Assist with occasional local field installations and equipment modifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of metal fabrication and welding experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work from fabrication drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record, passport and ability to travel as needed. Approximately 30% travel. Most trips less than 3 days duration.
