Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. This role involves working on construction sites and in manufacturing environments, where you will be responsible for fabricating and welding components to meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding to fabricate metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
• Perform pipe threading and ductwork fabrication as needed.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for precise measurements.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Operate cranes and forklifts for material handling and rigging tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction site environments.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes including machining, soldering, plasma cutting, and assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Competence in using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
