Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. In this role, you will transform metal materials into high-quality components and assemblies, adhering to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements.
• Perform welding using various methods including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and/or operation of a robotic welder
• Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, and hand tools.
• Measure and mark materials accurately utilizing calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication.
• Interpret technical specifications and mechanical blueprints for assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on assembly projects, ensuring quality control and timely completion of tasks.

Requirements

• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG and TIG
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprint details accurately.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Mechanical knowledge related to shop operations, assembly processes, and safety procedures.
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and mechanical materials in accordance with industry standards.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding equipment, power tools, plasma cutting devices, and handling of metal materials.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
