Horse Vans LLC is seeking an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Ocala, Florida. We specialize in building and customizing horse vans, horseboxes, trailers, and specialty equine transportation vehicles.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean fabrication work, can work independently, and has experience working with aluminum and light-gauge metals.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding primarily on aluminum components.
• Fabricate and assemble components for horse vans, horseboxes, and specialty vehicles.
• Measure, cut, fit, and weld aluminum tubing, sheet, and structural components.
• Build interior and exterior frames, partitions, doors, ramps, storage areas, and related components.
• Read measurements, drawings, sketches, and fabrication instructions.
• Use saws, grinders, drills, shears, brakes, and other fabrication equipment.
• Perform accurate fit-up prior to welding.
• Produce clean, structurally sound, professional-quality welds.
• Assist with custom modifications and one-off fabrication projects.
• Inspect completed work for quality, alignment, and workmanship.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Work with the production team to complete builds according to schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous TIG welding experience required.
• Aluminum TIG welding experience strongly preferred.
• Strong fabrication and measuring skills.
• Ability to accurately use tape measures and basic fabrication/layout tools.
• Ability to cut, fit, tack, and finish fabricated components.
• Experience working with aluminum tubing and sheet metal preferred.
• Automotive, trailer, RV, marine, specialty vehicle, or custom fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues and work independently.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship are essential.
• Must be dependable and able to work as part of a production team.
• Must be able to safely lift and handle materials commonly used in fabrication.

What We're Looking For

This position is best suited for a fabricator who can do more than simply weld. We are looking for someone who can take measurements, understand how components should fit together, fabricate the parts, and produce a clean finished product.

Because our horse vans are custom-built, many projects require problem-solving and fabrication rather than repetitive production-line welding.

Experience with custom vehicles, trailers, horseboxes, RVs, truck bodies, marine fabrication, or similar aluminum products is especially valuable.

Competitive pay based on experience and demonstrated welding/fabrication ability.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
