Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all projects meet safety standards and quality expectations. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, from structural steel to miscellaneous metals and custom fabrications. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication and welding requirements.
• Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques to join various metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Use hand tools, power tools, band saws, grinders, coping machines, ironworker, and other fabrication equipment to shape, cut, bend, and assemble metal parts accurately.
• Measure materials with tape measures and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment according to specifications.
• Conduct rigging and erection.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, fabrication, rigging, and construction site practices.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or installation processes codes & standards.

Experience

• Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols.
• Hands-on experience in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and schematic interpretation.
• Proficiency in tape measures, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, torches, etc..
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and manufacturing practices.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately.
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
