Summary:
This position is within the Operations team of RJS Corporation. The Welder Fitter’s primary responsibility is to complete welding assignments using various welding approaches (Mig - Metal Inert Gas, TIG - Tungsten Inert Gas, and /or Stick/Arc Welding) per established guidelines and standards. Proper fit and weld of RJS products is a very important role within the company as our customers expect a quality product configured to meet their needs. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Thursday 06:00am - 04:30pm. Additional overtime may be available on Friday and on weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Fitter Welder duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together according to blueprints, written, and verbal instructions
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for final welding
• Select equipment and plan layout of assembly for welding
• Setup welding machines based on the job at hand
• Use a variety of hand and power tools as needed
• Inspect items as instructed and provide feedback to management to ensure any quality defects can be avoided in the future
• Maintain a clean work area, returning equipment and tools at the end of the day
• Assist other departments and functions as needed

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and may occasionally be required to sit, walk, bend, squat, kneel and climb (Ladders). The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
