Title: Trailer Mechanic Welder / Fabricator

Department: Heavy Transport Maintenance

Pay: $25/hr

About us:

We are a trucking company located in Porterville CA and we are looking for a certified welder to add to our Porterville shop. Our mechanics work on a variety of trailers to include tankers, refrigerated trailers, dry vans, flatbed doubles, walking floors, end dumps, belt trailers and hoppers. We are looking for a certified welder who has experience with a commercial trucking company and has worked on the trailers that we run.

Job responsibilities:

Welding/Fabrication

• Structural frame repairs.
• Axle and Suspension replacement.
• General fabrication with Plasma, Ox./Acetylene, Stick and wire.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Additional duties: Trailer Mechanic

• 90 day trailer inspections
• Landing gear replacement.
• Brake jobs on all types of trailers.
• Suspension repairs.
• Some decking/panel replacement (wood or metal).

Minimum qualifications:

• Must have valid drivers license
• Certified Welder program completion
• 2+ years of experience
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in US.
• Speak Spanish (Preferred)

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
