Welder/Plater

Steel Plater/Welder – Full Time, Permanent

Due to increased workload, Jackson Steel Structures Ltd is looking for an experienced Coded Welder/Plater to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role who takes pride in producing quality steelwork.

The Role

• Fabricate, plate and weld structural steelwork from engineering drawings.
• Accurately measure, mark out and fit steel components.
• MIG weld to a high standard with strong, clean welds.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Work safely with overhead cranes to move and position steelwork.
• Check your own work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.

About You

You’ll be reliable, safety-conscious and confident working from drawings, with good attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to work well as part of a team is essential.
