Welders and Fabricators

About the role

This is a great opportunity for skilled tradespeople with strong welding and metal fabrication experience who can confidently work from engineering drawings and produce high-quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, grinding, assembling and welding metal components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications
• Operating welding and fabrication equipment
• Completing work accurately and to the required specifications
• Working with mild steel, stainless steel and/or aluminium

About you

• Minimum 3 years' experience in welding and/or fabrication
• Proven experience in MIG, TIG and/or ARC welding
• Experience in structural steel, general fabrication and/or heavy engineering
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, metal preparation and fabrication processes
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• Reliable, physically fit and able to work independently or within a team
• Trade qualification in Engineering or Fabrication advantageous
• Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence advantageous
