Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding tasks on various metal materials, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in different welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical fabrication will be crucial to delivering high-quality projects on time. Duties

• Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints to determine welding specifications and procedures
• Perform a variety of welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and welds
• Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for metal fabrication and sheet metal cutting
• Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components for construction projects or manufacturing processes while adhering to safety protocols
• Interpret technical drawings accurately for fabrication shop projects involving sheet metal, mechanical parts, or structural assemblies
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and handling materials with care

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction sites or in a fabrication shop environment with metal materials
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams with confidence
• Familiarity with shop math, basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in fabrication tasks
• Hands-on experience with using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, as well as plasma cutting equipment
• Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and mechanical fabrication standards
• Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols in industrial or construction settings
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, structural steel assembly, or similar metalworking tasks is highly desirable

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
