Welding Engineer

As International Motors continues to expand its manufacturing operations in San Antonio, we are seeking a Robotic Weld Engineer - Night Shift to support the launch of our growing night-shift production team.

The night production shift will operate Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with production scheduled to begin early 2027. This is a salaried position supporting a manufacturing environment and includes a 10% shift differential upon transition to the night-shift schedule.

In this role, you will serve as the primary welding engineering resource on the night shift, working directly on the production floor to troubleshoot robotic and manual welding challenges, minimize downtime, and implement sustainable solutions that improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency. You'll play a critical role in optimizing robotic weld cells, supporting FANUC robotic systems, and driving improvements across advanced manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with both manual and robotic welding, including weld repair, defect analysis, and corrective action implementation. We are seeking those who have experience with FANUC robot programming and troubleshooting, weld quality validation, process optimization, industrial automation, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and manufacturing environments such as automotive, trucking, heavy equipment, or other high-volume production operations is highly desired.
