Welding Engineer - URGENT (Onsite)

Work Arrangements

• Work Location: Sto. Tomas Batangas
• Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, Shifting Schedule
• Work Set-up: Onsite

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and document welding processes for production, with emphasis on laser and arc welding used in temperature sensor and related product manufacturing.
• Set up and qualify welding equipment.
• Create and maintain welding procedures.
• Support operators on the shop floor to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient operations.
• Coordinate welding trials.
• Troubleshoot process issues.
• Analyze weld defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams.
• Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality engineering.
• Ensure welds meet internal specifications, applicable codes, and customer requirements.
• Continuously improve throughput, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in welding process, including hands-on experience with Laser Welding and/or Arc Welding for manufacturing applications.
• With welding certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in Welding Inspection and Quality Control practices, including interpreting weld symbols, reviewing weld quality data, and supporting audits.
• Practical knowledge of Metallurgy related to weldability, heat-affected zones, material behavior, and failure modes in metallic components.
• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with manufacturing process development, equipment qualification, and validation in a regulated or quality-focused environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry codes/standards relevant to welding.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and root cause investigation skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset, including Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and best practices for welding operations and manufacturing environments.
• Experience in aerospace or power generation.
• Experience in Laser Welding/High Powered Laser.

Pay: Up to Php50,000.00 per month
