The Welding Engineering Specialist at Toyotetsu Texas, Inc., will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced welding processes and techniques to enhance production efficiency and product quality within the manufacturing sector. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure welding operations meet industry standards and our company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize welding processes to improve production efficiency and product quality.

• Develop and implement welding procedures and techniques in line with industry standards.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of welding operations to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Provide technical support and training to welding personnel to enhance skill levels and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Evaluate and recommend new welding technologies and equipment to improve manufacturing processes.

• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of welding processes, procedures, and quality control measures.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall manufacturing performance.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in welding operations.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding engineering within the manufacturing industry.

• Proven track record of implementing welding processes and techniques in a high-volume production environment.

• Experience with robotic welding systems and automated welding technologies.

• Demonstrated experience in quality control and assurance related to welding processes.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and specifications, including AWS, ASME, and ISO.

• Proficiency in welding process development, including MIG, TIG, and resistance welding.

• Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding-related issues.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly.

• Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering tools for design and analysis.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
