Role Description The Welding Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Burlington, NC. This role is responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of welded structures, verifying weld quality against drawings, codes, and company standards, and documenting inspection results accurately. The Welding Inspector reviews welding procedures, checks materials and equipment for compliance, and works closely with welders, supervisors, and quality team members to address nonconformities and support corrective actions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting in-process and final inspections, participating in quality audits, maintaining inspection records, and supporting continuous improvement in welding practices and overall product quality. The role also involves promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring work adheres to regulatory and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Welding Inspection and Inspection skills, including visual inspection and documentation of weld quality.
• Candidates should possess practical Welding skills and understanding of welding processes, symbols, and procedures.
• Candidates should possess Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills to verify compliance with standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent are highly beneficial.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and capability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Commitment to workplace safety and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
