About the role
Welding Machine Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining inverter welding machines and related equipment. The role involves troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control-system problems, conducting preventive maintenance, installing and testing equipment, and replacing defective components while maintaining safety standards and documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control-system problems in inverter welding machines
- Conduct regular inspection, cleaning, servicing, testing, and preventive maintenance of inverter welding machines and accessories
- Install, set up, test, and commission welding machines and related equipment
- Replace defective components such as cables, switches, connectors, cooling systems, circuit boards, and other machine parts as required
- Maintain maintenance records and report recurring machine problems
- Follow safety procedures including proper PPE and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
About you
- Graduate of Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical course
- At least 2 years of experience in welding machine maintenance or industrial equipment repair is preferred
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW, or resistance welding machines is an advantage
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- Able to use a multimeter, clamp meter, and other diagnostic tools
- Able to read electrical/wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance
- Welding-related TESDA certification or technical certification is an advantage
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Safety-conscious, reliable, and willing to work overtime or shifting schedules when required
