Welding Manager

About the role

Position as Welding Department Head of Department (HOD) reporting to the Operation Manager. The role involves overseeing all welding department operations, ensuring compliance with company ISO requirements, and managing a team including an Assistant Welding Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Create, develop or update welding department procedures and documents according to company ISO requirements
• Ensure employees perform daily tasks as required according to position and job description requirements
• Coordinate and monitor the progress of work required to be completed within specific schedule times or as required by customers
• Study welding processes for new products from customers by following client requirements
• Involve in WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) creation and development that suit production usage as per customer requirement
• Participate and involve in welder WQT (Welder Qualification Test) planning and welder development programs
• Improve welding process capability to suit production demand
• Monitor quality of products to meet customer requirements
• Plan manpower headcount requirements and monitor department manpower utilization
• Monitor monthly cost and revenue performance and submit monthly revenue reports to management

About you

• Diploma, Executive Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in engineering or subject related to the industry or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years working experience relevant to the specific industry
