What they need
Make every day meaningful.
We are looking for a passionate Wellbeing Lead to lead the wellbeing programme within one of our care homes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will create meaningful opportunities for residents while supporting and developing a team of Wellbeing Assistants. You will get to know residents as individuals and use their interests, life stories, strengths and preferences to shape a programme that gives people purpose, choice, connection and enjoyment.
Your role will include:
- Leading and coordinating a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities, outings, celebrations and everyday opportunities for connection.
- Maintaining and reviewing the monthly Wellbeing Planner.
- Supporting evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), reminiscence, music and storytelling.
- Providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, supervision and support to Wellbeing Assistants.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues, volunteers and community partners.
- Working alongside the care team to embed wellbeing into everyday life.
- Monitoring engagement and adapting opportunities to meet residents' changing needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality audits and reviews.
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
- Experienced in wellbeing, activities, care, support work or a similar people-focused role.
- Confident leading and supporting a team.
- Creative, organised and able to think beyond traditional "activities".
- Person-centred, warm, calm and patient.
- Confident adapting their approach to different cognitive abilities and individual needs.
- A strong communicator who enjoys building genuine relationships.
You don't need to have worked as a Wellbeing Lead before - we're looking for the right person, attitude and approach.
If you believe wellbeing is about more than keeping people occupied, and want to help create a home where residents are known, valued and connected, we'd love to hear from you.
