Wellness Nurse

Position Summary

Nights 7 pm-7 am

The Wellness Nurse is responsible for supporting the health and wellness needs of residents through assessments, medication management, communication with physicians and families, supervision of care staff, and ensuring compliance with state regulations and community policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Assist with development and updates of resident service plans
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and healthcare providers
• Monitor resident documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Supervise caregivers and med techs during assigned shifts
• Respond to resident emergencies and provide clinical support
• Coordinate home health, hospice, therapy, and other third-party services
• Ensure compliance with AHCA regulations and infection control practices
• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Promote a warm, respectful, and resident-centered environment

Qualifications

• Active Florida LPN license in good standing
• CPR certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years nursing experience preferred
• Assisted living, memory care, or long-term care experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medication administration and resident care documentation
• Compassionate and professional attitude toward seniors and families

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
