What they need
Are you ready to lead HR at a company that values its people?
Scudder Roofing and Scudder Solar have served the Monterey Bay since 1982, and we're looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our leadership team — someone who knows California certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance inside and out, champions employee benefits, and leads with heart. This is a full-time, on-site role in Marina, CA, paying $120,000–$140,000 depending on experience.
You'll need at least 6 years of HR experience, fluency in English and Spanish, and hands-on experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage work in California.
This role goes beyond paperwork and policy enforcement. As HR Manager, you'll partner directly with our CEO on people decisions, keep us ahead of prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements, and help build a workplace where people genuinely want to show up.

6+ years of HR experience with certified payroll and benefits expertise
Deep knowledge of prevailing wage laws and compliance requirements
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or equivalent experience
Leadership experience that shows you can inspire, not just manage

Strong problem-solving skills and comfort managing a varied workload
Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to stay composed under pressure
