Werkvoorbereider (Civil Engineering) | 12-Month Contract | Sliedrecht Region

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Work Planner (Werkvoorbereider) to join a well-established civil engineering consultancy and engineering firm on a 12-month ZZP contract in the Sliedrecht region.

This organisation delivers projects from concept through to completion across a broad range of disciplines, including infrastructure, water engineering, land development, environmental projects, and structural engineering . With a strong focus on quality, collaboration, and long-term project success, they are involved in both large-scale and local civil engineering schemes throughout the Netherlands.

The Role

As a Work Planner, you will play a key role in the technical and operational preparation of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring that work is planned, coordinated, and delivered efficiently. You will be involved in a diverse portfolio of projects covering roads, waterways, sewer systems, and public infrastructure works .

Working closely with project managers, designers, clients, contractors, and local authorities, you will act as the central point of coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing technical specifications and project documentation.
• Producing and reviewing technical drawings using AutoCAD .
• Coordinating and supervising drafting activities.
• Supporting the planning and preparation of civil engineering projects from design through to execution.
• Managing permit applications and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Liaising with clients, stakeholders, municipalities, and external project partners.
• Coordinating materials, subcontractors, and project resources.
• Preparing cost estimates, quantities, and project planning schedules.
• Monitoring project progress, risks, and opportunities.
• Supporting project delivery across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ensuring quality, safety, and project objectives are achieved.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Werkvoorbereider / Work Planner within civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of the RAW contract system .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD .
• Experience working on roads, sewerage, waterways, or other civil engineering projects.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Comfortable acting as the central coordinator and key point of contact within project teams.
