Job Overview

Our client is looking for a skilled Video Editor who understands the mechanics of what makes ads convert and scale. You will own the weekly planning and execution of video ads that drive real revenue. This isn't about making pretty videos—it's about understanding hook rates, hold rates, click-through rates, and what actually works in the Facebook ecosystem. You'll collaborate directly with the founders to create high-converting VSLs and ad creatives using both traditional and AI-powered editing techniques. Client Overview

Our client is a growing ecommerce company in the skincare industry that has scaled beyond six figures and is building their in-house creative team. They run performance-driven Facebook ad campaigns and need a skilled editor who understands the mechanics of what makes ads convert and scale.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Flexible within Netherlands daytime (CET) Central European Time (CET) (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Plan and edit weekly video ad content based on performance goals and campaign strategy
• Edit Facebook ads optimized for key KPIs including hook rate, hold rate, and click-through rate
• Create video sales letters (VSLs) that align with direct response marketing principles
• Utilize AI editing tools to produce realistic, high-quality video content efficiently
• Analyze what creative elements work and iterate quickly based on ad performance data
• Collaborate with the team on daily calls to align on priorities and urgent deliverables
• Adapt editing style and approach based on real-time feedback and campaign results
• Maintain a consistent output schedule while delivering polished, conversion-focused work

Requirements

• Proven experience editing video ads for six-figure ecommerce or direct-to-consumer brands
• Strong understanding of Facebook advertising mechanics and what drives performance
• Familiarity with VSL structure and direct response video marketing principles
• Knowledge of ad performance metrics such as hook rate, hold rate, and click-through rate
• Experience with AI-powered video editing tools, especially realistic AI editing
• Ability to work flexibly within Central European Time daytime hours
• Availability to start at 20 hours per week with strong performance

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Bonus if you have availability to work occasional weekend hours when urgent projects arise
• It helps if you've worked in-house for a brand rather than only freelance or agency projects
