WFH SEO Content Writer (SEMrush & WordPress)

Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced SEO Content Writer (SEMrush & WordPress) to join a growing marketing agency and drive content strategy across multiple client websites. In this role, you will perform detailed keyword research, craft high-quality, human-written blog articles, and publish fully optimized content via WordPress. You will also update existing web pages and track ranking performance to help boost organic visibility. It is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated professional skilled in combining creative copywriting with strategic on-page SEO.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct keyword research using SEMrush to identify content opportunities.
• Develop SEO-driven content plans aligned with client goals.
• Write original, high-quality blog articles optimized for search engines.
• Optimize content using on-page SEO best practices, including headings, meta descriptions, internal linking, and keyword placement.
• Publish and format blog content in WordPress.
• Source or recommend supporting images for blog articles.
• Update existing website content to improve search rankings.
• Monitor keyword rankings and organic traffic performance.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align SEO content with broader marketing campaigns.
• Ensure all content meets brand voice, editorial standards, and SEO best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an SEO Content Writer or SEO Specialist.
• Strong experience using SEMrush for keyword research and competitive analysis.
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills with the ability to produce original, human-written content.
• Experience writing long-form SEO blog articles across various industries.
• Experience publishing and formatting content in WordPress.
• Strong understanding of on-page SEO best practices.
• Ability to research technical topics and create engaging, informative content.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

• Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4).
• Knowledge of backlink strategies and technical SEO.
• Experience working within a marketing agency.
• Familiarity with SEO reporting and performance analysis.
• Experience optimizing existing website content for improved rankings.
