WFH Shopify eCommerce Operations Assistant

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing international e-commerce fashion business serving customers across multiple markets. They are looking for a reliable and proactive Shopify eCommerce Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of their online store.

In this role, you will handle a variety of Shopify and e-commerce tasks, including product updates, order and delivery checks, inventory monitoring, customer service support, and operational troubleshooting.

This is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking ownership of tasks without needing detailed instructions.

Schedule

·        Schedule: Flexible and task-based; Up to 20 hours per week; Preference for availability aligned with Denmark / Central European Time

·        Communication: Primarily through Slack and WhatsApp

What You'll Do

·        Manage day-to-day Shopify tasks and resolve routine e-commerce issues.

·        Review orders and investigate delivery, fulfilment, and carrier-related concerns.

·        Identify recurring order or operational issues and help find practical solutions.

·        Update and maintain product information, descriptions, product data, HTS codes, and other relevant details.

·        Review product listings and correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated information.

·        Monitor inventory and identify low-stock or out-of-stock products.

·        Create and update deliveries using relevant delivery or fulfilment systems.

·        Support customer service cases that require investigation beyond standard responses.

·        Complete tasks across Shopify, VMS, and other e-commerce platforms.

·        Handle ad hoc operational tasks as business needs arise.

·        Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce repetitive administrative work.

What We're Looking For

·        Proven hands-on experience using Shopify.

·        Strong understanding of e-commerce and online retail operations.

·        Experience managing products, orders, inventory, deliveries, or fulfilment processes.

·        Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.

·        Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

·        Excellent attention to detail when handling product, order, and operational data.

·        Strong written English and communication skills.

·        Comfortable receiving and completing tasks primarily through written communication.

·        Able to determine when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate it.

Nice to Have

·        Experience in e-commerce customer service or online support.

·        Experience with VMS, delivery management, fulfilment, or logistics systems.

·        Experience managing international orders and deliveries.

·        Knowledge of product data, categorization, or HTS codes.

·        Experience in fashion, retail, DTC, or international e-commerce.
