Wheelchair Technician

Overview
This job requires 90% of the time to be on the road to different facilities.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wheelchair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that wheelchairs and mobility devices are properly maintained, repaired, and delivered to clients in a timely manner. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the mobility and independence of our clients, making a positive impact on their lives.

Training will be provided.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wheelchairs and mobility devices to ensure optimal functionality.
• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify any issues or necessary repairs.
• Deliver wheelchairs and other mobility aids to clients, ensuring safe transport and setup.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their mobility devices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all operations.

Experience

• Familiarity with wheelchair mechanics or similar equipment is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Job Requirement:

• Pass a drug screen and background check. Must be professional in appearance and communication. Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to lift 60 lbs., have legible handwriting, and Spanish or Tagalog is a plus.

• Work days: 5 days a week. Must be available Saturday and Sunday.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
