What they need
Re.Group is focused on providing solutions for recycling and recovery of resources from waste. Our vision is to create a wasteless society—where all resources that become waste are reused and are not disposed.
At the heart of Re.Group is our focus on positive community impact. We collaborate with charities, private organisations, and the Government to benefit local communities.
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on WHS Advisor to support our operations across Western Australia, including our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) at Canning Vale and our Return-It container deposit depots across the state.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their WHS career in a varied, operational environment. Working closely with site leaders, frontline teams and our National HSE team, you’ll provide practical safety support across multiple sites and help strengthen a positive and proactive safety culture.
About the role
- Provide practical WHS advice and support across our WA MRF and Return-It depot network.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of Re.Group’s health and safety systems, policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, audits and hazard identification activities.
- Support incident and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing management of ISO 45001 safety systems.
- Deliver safety communications, toolbox talks, coaching and engagement activities.
- Support HSE reporting, trend analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with site leaders and frontline teams to promote safe work practices.
- Assist with emergency preparedness, fire safety and broader HSE projects.
- Travel between Re.Group and Return-It sites across Western Australia as required.
About you
We’re looking for someone practical, approachable and comfortable working directly with operational teams.
You will ideally have:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, another relevant WHS qualification, or be working towards one.
- Experience in a WHS, HSE or safety-related role, ideally within an operational, industrial, logistics, recycling, manufacturing or similar environment.
- A sound understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and incident investigation.
- Exposure to ISO 45001 or safety management systems would be highly regarded.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A hands-on approach and confidence engaging with frontline employees and leaders.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple sites.
- A willingness to learn, develop and take on broader responsibilities.
- Project management, fire safety, First Aid/CPR or Lead Auditor qualifications would be advantageous.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel between WA sites.
Why join us?
- Attractive salary package.
- A varied role supporting both recycling and container deposit operations.
- Opportunity to develop your WHS career within a growing organisation.
- Support and mentoring from an experienced National HSE team.
- Multiple career paths and development opportunities.
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference in a hands-on operational environment while contributing to our vision of creating a wasteless society.
At Re.Group, we celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion. Our commitment is to foster working environments that embrace everyone, ensuring fair and respectful treatment for all.
We actively encourage applications from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, individuals with disabilities, individuals of all gender identities, those in mature age and early careers, members of the LGBTIQA+ community, and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
