Role summary

Stemit is building out its wind energy bench in support of an active proposal for an ADB-financed, utility-scale wind power project in Sri Lanka - the Kondachchi Wind Power Project, a circa 150MW development in the Mannar region, integrated with battery energy storage. We are looking for a Wind Resource Expert to lead wind measurement campaigns and resource assessment work supporting technical due diligence for the project.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee wind measurement campaigns, including met mast and LiDAR-based data collection
• Lead LiDAR-based wind resource assessment, including procurement and deployment coordination
• Conduct energy yield modeling for the project site based on collected wind resource data
• Prepare wind resource assessment reports to support technical due diligence and feasibility studies
• Liaise with equipment vendors, local counterparts, and contractors on measurement campaign logistics
• Contribute technical inputs to ADB documentation and client-facing deliverables on wind resource matters

Required qualifications

Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in engineering, meteorology, or a closely related field. A minimum of 8 years of international experience in utility-scale wind resource assessment. Experience with LiDAR procurement and deployment is a plus.
