Our client is an established international wind energy company with a significant installed fleet and service presence across multiple markets. They are seeking a technical specialist to improve turbine reliability, reduce recurring failures and strengthen technical performance across their in-country operations. The role will connect site teams with regional and global technical experts, ensuring complex turbine issues are properly analysed and translated into practical, documented field actions.
Key responsibilities
- Review turbine alarms, SCADA data and downtime trends to identify recurring faults and major availability losses.
- Prioritise high-impact technical issues across multiple sites and turbine platforms.
- Lead or coordinate root cause investigations and define appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage technical cases involving major components such as blades, bearings, yaw systems, gearboxes, generators and converters.
- Provide technical input on downtime events affecting contractual availability.
- Coordinate complex cases with engineering and specialist support teams.
- Convert engineering recommendations into clear work scopes for site implementation.
- Track corrective actions and confirm whether they have reduced fault recurrence.
- Support fleet-wide inspection, repair and technical improvement programmes.
- Ensure field solutions are supported by approved procedures and technical documentation.
- Share proven solutions and lessons learned across service locations.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in wind turbine service, commissioning, troubleshooting or technical support.
- Strong diagnostic capability across mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Practical experience using SCADA, alarm and event data to investigate turbine faults.

- Exposure to fleet-level improvement programmes or major-component technical issues.
- Familiarity with structured root cause analysis methods such as 5-Why, Fishbone or 8D.
- Senior troubleshooting qualification or equivalent hands-on experience would be preferred.
