Window Fitter (experienced)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Window Fitters / Service Engineers to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining aluminium windows and doors, working on curtain walls, with glass and flashings across various residential and commercial projects in Jersey.

Your expertise will help ensure our clients receive high-quality craftsmanship and durable, energy-efficient window solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills in multiple trades, and contribute to creating beautiful, functional spaces.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assess window openings to determine the correct size and specifications for installation
• Liaise with our design team for the preparation of drawings/details
• Remove old or damaged units carefully, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding structure
• Install bracketry and new units with precision
• Seal and insulate windows to improve energy efficiency
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, or electrical teams as needed during project execution
• Conduct quality checks to ensure proper fit, finish, and functionality of installed windows
• Training less experienced colleagues

Skills

• Experience with systems from Schüco and / or Reynaers
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical experience, fabrication, and related trades is highly desirable
• Proficiency with relevant tools and equipment, incl. vacuum glazing lifters, etc
• Ability to read and discuss technical drawings and blueprints accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills to adapt to different building structures and project requirements
• Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship

Pay: £25,420.00-£59,823.91 per year
