Job Overview

ERG Scotland are seeking skilled window & door installers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, windows & doors in various settings, primarily domestic but also commercial properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship, along with adherence to safety regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with various materials and tools.

ERG Scotland install contracts all across the highlands, from Mallaig to Thurso, Skye, Elgin, and everywhere in between. Installers will be provided with a company vehicle to get themselves and materials to site, at the company’s expense, along with fuel costs, and accommodation bookings for installations in remote locations, where appropriate.

This role will be a full time, permanent position, and successful candidates will work as an employee of ERG Scotland, rather than on a self-employed basis.

Responsibilities

• Installation of windows & doors in residential and commercial properties according to specifications.
• Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure a perfect fit and tidy finish.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively and safely for window installation.
• When required, collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Skills

• Already experienced in the installation of uPVC windows & doors is essential. Experience with Aluminium / Timber products is desirable but not required.
• Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to window fitting.
• Understanding of building regulations and safety standards related to window installation.
• Ability to read surveys, drawings, and risk assessments accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for high-quality workmanship.
• Able to courteously and professionally interact with customers while on site.
