What they need
About Us
Burbank Auto Detail has served the community since 1999. We specialize in premium window tint, paint protection film, ceramic coatings, and detailing. As an authorized LLumar SelectPro dealer, we install LLumar FormulaOne window films and take pride in the quality of both our products and our workmanship.
We’re looking for an experienced window tint installer who is dependable, takes pride in clean installations, and wants to grow with our shop. You’ll work in a dedicated, climate-controlled installation area with strong lighting and a team that values doing the job right.
Who We’re Looking For
The right candidate can handle tint installations independently, maintain consistent quality, and work efficiently without rushing. You should notice the small details, care about the finished result, and take responsibility when something needs to be corrected.
We’re also looking for a team player. Window tint is your primary responsibility, but when there are no tint appointments, you must be willing to help wash vehicles and assist our PPF department. This is a hands-on shop where everyone contributes to keeping work moving.
Responsibilities
- Install automotive window tint on side windows, rear glass, and full windshields across a variety of vehicles.
- Work with dyed, ceramic, and premium ceramic films, including LLumar FormulaOne Classic, Pinnacle, Stratos, and AIR.
- Prepare glass thoroughly and control contamination throughout the installation.
- Use computer-cut patterns and hand-cutting techniques as appropriate for the vehicle.
- Heat-shrink and install rear windows and windshields in one piece.
- Produce clean, precise edges, including shaved edges on frameless windows.
- Protect interiors, electronics, trim, and surrounding surfaces during installation.
- Inspect completed work for contamination, creases, fingers, lifting edges, gaps, and other defects before delivery.
- Remove existing tint and adhesive when required.
- Communicate installation progress, vehicle concerns, and scheduling needs with management.
- Keep tools, supplies, and the installation area clean and organized.
- During gaps in tint work, help wash and dry vehicles, prepare vehicles for PPF, and assist the PPF installer as directed.
- Handle customer vehicles carefully and maintain a professional attitude with customers and coworkers.
Qualifications
- Prior professional automotive window tint installation experience is required; approximately two or more years is preferred.
- Ability to complete installations independently with consistent results.
- Experience with heat shrinking, hand cutting, plotter patterns, and safe blade handling.
- Comfortable working on frameless windows, large rear glass, and windshields.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to minimizing contamination and rework.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and clear communication.
- Willingness to receive feedback, correct mistakes, and follow shop standards.
- Ability to stay productive and assist other departments when tint work is unavailable.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely move customer vehicles.
- PPF or detailing experience is a plus, but is not required.
Our Installation Standards
Our goal is for an experienced installer to complete approximately two full vehicles with windshields in a normal workday, depending on vehicle complexity, film removal, and the scope of work.
Quality comes first. We expect clean installations, careful vehicle handling, and a final inspection on every job. We’re looking for someone who can balance quality and productivity and communicate early when a job needs additional time.
What We Offer
- Pay based on experience and demonstrated skill.
- A weekday schedule with weekends off.
- A dedicated, climate-controlled tint and PPF installation environment.
- Premium films and a shop that values quality workmanship.
- Opportunities to develop PPF skills and grow with our expanding business.
- Direct communication with ownership and clear expectations.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume or a summary of your installation experience. Include:
- How long you have professionally installed automotive tint.
- Film brands and vehicles you have experience working with.
- Your experience with hand cutting, plotters, frameless windows, rear glass, and windshields.
- Your typical completion time for a full vehicle with a windshield.
- Your availability and desired hourly pay.
- Photos or videos of recent installations, if available.
Qualified candidates may be invited to demonstrate their installation skills as part of the interview process.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready to contribute, and wants to build a long-term place on our team.
