Part-time Window Treatment Installer at U-Fab Interiors

The Window Treatment Installer is an organized, detail-oriented individual who assists with installing all window treatment finished products and measuring for window treatments before production. They will be responsible for reviewing and sorting all incoming hardware and finished products. This is a part-time position reporting to the Workroom Manager and will be 2-3 days or 15 to 25 hours per week.

Location & Hours:

This position is in our store/shop located at 7921 W. Broad St. This is a part-time position working 2 to 3 days a week or 15 to 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Installation:

• Professionally install a wide variety of window treatments (valances, cornices, Roman and motorized shades and draperies) in residential and commercial settings.
• Utilize hand and power tools to safely and securely attach products. Dismantle existing window coverings and prepare surfaces for new installations.

Measurement and Preparation:

• Accurately measure windows using tape or laser devices to ensure correct sizing.
• Inspect and treat surrounding surfaces to ensure they are appropriate for installation.
• Verify and load products for install, and maintain a fully stocked company vehicle.
• Update Company Cam with images and specifications from measures & installs.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform repairs on existing window treatments, and replace broken components.
• Troubleshoot problems and diagnose issues on-site.

Logistics and Organization:

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the company vehicle.
• Check in and organize incoming hardware and finished products.
• Communicate updates with the Sales / Design Team via SmartQ, email or in person.

Customer Service:

• Work with the other Installers to ensure excellent customer service during measure and installs.
• Serve as a professional and courteous representative of the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience as a window treatment installer or finish carpentry
• Good communication skills
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively and travel to different locations
• Comfortable working on ladders for extended periods of time
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Keen eye for detail and ability to multi-task
• Offers creative solutions to resolve issue in the field while customer facing
• Valid US Driver’s License
