Job Summary

The Windows Desktop Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting end-user computing devices, operating systems, software applications, and IT infrastructure to ensure smooth business operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops and laptops.

• Manage Windows 10/11 operating systems, patches, and upgrades.

• Provide L1/L2 technical support for hardware and software issues.

• Manage Active Directory users, groups, and permissions.

• Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office Apps).

• Provision and deprovision user accounts, devices, and access.

• Support laptop imaging, deployment, and asset management.

• Monitor and troubleshoot printer, network, VPN, and connectivity issues.

• Manage endpoint security solutions such as Microsoft Defender, Sophos, CrowdStrike, or similar.

• Handle software installation, licensing, and compliance requirements.

• Perform data backup and recovery for end-user systems.

• Support Intune, SCCM/MECM, Group Policy, and endpoint management tools.

• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

• Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty and support cases.
