Windows Platform Specialist

• 12 + 12 months, $$$ negotiable
• Canberra Gungahlin + Hybrid WFH
• Baseline security clearance required

Our client, a small bespoke self funded Federal Government Department is seeking Windows Platform Specialist to join their team in late September or early October.

This role requires a proactive and technically skilled individual who can work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality IT services in a dynamic environment.

Primary Duties:

• Provide advanced technical support for Windows desktop environments and end-user computing platforms;
• Administer and support the Agencies Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services;
• Lead or contribute to the planning and execution of system upgrades, patching, and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency;
• Implement and maintain hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud services;
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams to ensure compliance with the Agencies security policies and government standards across both on-premises and cloud environments;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
