Windows Systems Engineer

Synectic Solutions is currently recruiting for a technical representative that will be responsible for performing training, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures on a vast array of bombs, missiles, weapons systems, test equipment and associated equipment. 

Responsibilities:

• Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
• Support directives to upgrade, maintain and optimize existing network infrastructure.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
• Train staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
• Answer questions about installation, operation, configuration, and customization.
• Apply advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network related issues encountered by users.
• Support Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and various specialty engineering and scientific development tools.
• Perform installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches and to resolve software related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs).
• Maintain and develop IT related procedures required to support the organization.

Requirements

• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen
• BS Degree or at least 10 years of relevant experience
