Wine Bar Server

About the Role:
Ambi Wine Bar is looking for a server to join our team who has a positive attitude and is great at building relationships with our wonderful customers. You’re composed under pressure, great at multi-tasking, and highly adaptable!

Requirements:
Must have serving experience and a passion for wine but we'll teach you everything you need to know about the wines!

Responsibilities:
Preparing space for guests by making sure the place is clean and tidy

Adhering to safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies

Guiding guests through our menu by providing insight and personal suggestions on best food/wine parings

Keeping updated on rotating menu, specials, and which wines we may or may not have in stock

Serving wine and food to guests in a timely manner

Taking note of special requests or dietary restrictions of patrons

Performing basic cleaning tasks
Assisting with special events or private parties

Adhering to appearance and grooming standards on a consistent basis

Quickly and kindly addressing customer service issues or referring them to management when applicable

Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years old to apply (18+ for select roles)

Prior serving experience required

Exceptional oral communication skills a must

Positive social skills required

Must be able to speak and write in English

Must pass criminal background check

Desired Proficiencies:
Well versed in food service regulations

Flexibility in all job aspects

Comfortable with utilizing technology in a business setting

Has a background in customer service

About Ambi Wine Bar
A quick drive from Minneapolis, Ambi Wine Bar (ahm-bee) was founded by Anokans who share a vision for Anoka’s future and a commitment to improving their community. As a team, we’ve created a one of a kind wine bar experience in Anoka with a warm, winery meets cafe vibe.

When opening our doors in the Spring of 2019, Ambi Wine Bar aimed to create a concept that maintained the “Classic Anoka” vibe with a modern take. Ambi’s goal is to help cultivate Anoka’s forward progress, bringing more people into the area and ultimately introducing more people to the town we love.

For tourists, Ambi provides respite after a day of shopping the city’s many antique and boutique stores or after a night at the theater, Lyric Arts Main Street Stage. For locals, Ambi is a meet-up space for friends taking part in the city’s many traditions and a front porch for Anoka’s many downtown events,

The bar’s historic setting creates a warm energy, and is enhanced with live acoustic music, community shopping events, and paintings from local artists. Ambi’s menu features a strong assortment of wines, as well as a curated assortment of light bites, charcuterie, cheeses, and desserts.
