Wine Shop & Office Assistant

We are an **independent, family-run wine business based in Caistor, Lincolnshire**, offering a fantastic selection of wines, as well as beers and spirits.

We are looking for an **enthusiastic and reliable person ** to join our small, friendly team and work in our busy Caistor wine shop.

This is a varied role, combining **customer service, sales, administration, online orders and general shop duties**, so no two days are quite the same.

The Role

You will need to be well motivated, organised and confident working both as part of a small team and using your own initiative. You'll be working in a busy and energetic environment, helping with the day-to-day running of our wine shop and office.

An interest in, and basic knowledge of, **wine, beer and spirits** would be an advantage, although enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.

Your responsibilities will include:

Serving customers and processing sales in the shop

Dealing with telephone enquiries and orders

Picking and packing internet and corporate orders

Helping in our warehouse

General office and administrative duties

Stock rotation and maintaining an organised shop

Using Microsoft Office and Outlook

Helping with the general day-to-day running of the business

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

* Enthusiastic, friendly and approachable

* Reliable and well organised

* Comfortable dealing with customers

* Able to work independently as well as part of a small team

* **Computer literate**, with experience using Microsoft Office/Outlook

* Interested in learning about wine, beer and spirits

* Flexible and willing to help during particularly busy periods

* Physically able to undertake some heavy lifting — a case of wine weighs approximately **20kg**

* Hold a full driving licence

Hours & Salary

This is a **full-time position, working in a busy and varied environment.

A flexible approach to working hours will be required to help cover particularly busy periods. You will be required to work alternative Saturdays in your rota
