What will I be doing?

The Wine Store Associate will report to the Wine Store Manager. They will be responsible for greeting guests and assisting them with selecting wines, restocking shelves, properly handling transactions using a POS system, assisting with in-store tastings and events, serving food and wine to guests, and helping to maintain the appearance and organization of the store.

Experience

• Previous retail or hospitality experience is required
• Previous experience selling wine or serving food is an asset
• Knowledge of wines and wine regions

Skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English; written and verbal
• Accurate cash handling ability
• Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail

Requirements

• Smart Serve Certified
• Must be able to lift boxes up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to safely operate and use a 3-step ladder as part of regular job duties
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check to the hotel’s satisfaction
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
