Wine Technologist & Equipment Operator

VAF Memstar is Australia’s leading provider of membrane-based wine processing solutions.

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on and technically minded individual to join our

Barossa Valley team.

We have unique equipment and processes exclusive to the wine and beverage industry.

VAF Memstar’s expertise spans crossflow filtration, reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, alcohol adjustment, ion exchange and electrodialysis.

We are pushing back the boundaries of wine

processing technology.

Working alongside some of Australia's most respected wineries, we

deliver innovative technology and specialised services that help winemakers achieve

exceptional results.

About the Role

As one of our Wine Technologists, you'll be on the front line, playing an important role in delivering our specialised services to wineries throughout South Australia and interstate. Our equipment is mobile.

Expectations of the role:

• Following extensive training and guidance you will fly solo, Operating the different specialised equipment at different winery sites

• This involves the set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment to ensure effective and safe operation.

• You’ll work closely with winery personnel to ensure their best outcome and will be Representing VAF Memstar professionally, building positive customer relationships.

About You

Must take pride in their work and have a practical approach to

problem-solving.

Enjoys being a productive team member.

Ideally, your background will include, but not essential:

• Wine industry experience, with related equipment operational experience.

• Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new technologies.

• Desire to work independently and use initiative.

• Natural communication skills with a focus on customer outcome.

• Good attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.

• Flexibility to travel and work varying hours when required.

• A forklift licence, Medium Rigid truck licence and First Aid Certificate would be

advantageous but are not essential.

• A current Australian driver's licence is essential.
