NOW HIRING – WINTER OPERATIONS Shovel Crew & Equipment Operators

HBS is looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our Winter Operations Team for the upcoming snow season.

We are hiring for both Shovel Crew Members and Equipment Operators. If you enjoy working outdoors, are dependable, and are ready to work as part of a team during winter weather events, we want to hear from you.

Shovel Crew

Shovel Crew Members will be responsible for keeping walkways, entrances, steps, sidewalks, and other pedestrian areas safe and accessible during snow events.

Responsibilities include:

• Shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, entrances, stairs, and pedestrian areas.
• Applying salt and ice-melting products as required.
• Breaking up and removing ice.
• Working during and after snow events to maintain safe conditions.
• Performing physically demanding outdoor work in winter weather.
• Working as part of a team to complete assigned properties efficiently.
• Following all company safety procedures and instructions.

Equipment Operators

We are looking for experienced operators to operate a variety of snow-removal and construction equipment.

Equipment may include:

• Tractors
• Wheel loaders
• Skid steers
• Snow blowers
• Plow trucks
• Other snow-removal equipment

Responsibilities include:

• Safely operating assigned equipment.
• Performing snow removal and snow relocation.
• Completing assigned routes and properties efficiently.
• Conducting equipment inspections before and after use.
• Reporting equipment damage, mechanical issues, or site hazards.
• Maintaining equipment and keeping work areas organized.
• Following company procedures and safe operating practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and dependable.
• Comfortable working outdoors in cold, snow, and changing weather conditions.
• Able to work flexible hours, including overnight, early morning, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous snow removal, landscaping, construction, or equipment operating experience is an asset.
• Valid driver's licence is an asset for equipment operator positions.
• Equipment operators must have experience operating the equipment they are applying to operate.

Winter Work Means Flexible Hours

Snow doesn't follow a schedule — neither do our operations. Employees must be prepared to respond when winter weather hits and work extended or irregular hours when required.

Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week

Experience:

• Snow Operations: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class G Licence (preferred)
