About WinterWorld

WinterWorld is hiring an Operations Technician to run the heavy infrastructure load in/out and nightly execution of WinterWorld from October 26 through January 14. You will be on a leadership team for Load In/Out and on-site technician when the festival is open to thousands of nightly visitors, coordinating directly with municipal services, security, and internal staff.

Position Overview

• Load In/Out: Handle complex stadium event operations, facility layouts, emergency protocols (including the 60-foot Ferris wheel, ice slide, and ice rink).
• Live Event Execution: Event site operations, including A/V and LX.
• Infrastructure & Technical Maintenance: Monitor mechanical operations of major attractions, the stadium-wide lighting display, power grids, and sound systems.
• Safety & Crisis Management: Partner with stadium security, local fire/police departments, and medical staff to manage crowd control and resolve safety incidents instantly.
• Vendor Logistics: Oversee ongoing supply deliveries, facilities upkeep, and vendor operational needs.
• End of Day Report: Complete report and task list for following day.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3+ years managing on-site logistics for large festivals, sporting events, stadiums, or major outdoor entertainment spaces.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with temporary structures, outdoor power distribution, mechanical inspection, and emergency evacuation planning.
• Crisis Leadership: Elite problem-solving skills under high-stress, crowded conditions.
• Flexible Schedule: Full commitment to night, weekend, and major holiday shifts throughout the 39-day winter festival.
• Certifications: OSHA compliance knowledge, crowd management training, or CPR/First Aid certifications are highly preferred.
