Wire cut Operator

A CNC Wire Cut Operator operates CNC Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines to accurately cut complex shapes and profiles in electrically conductive materials.

Wire Cut Operator – Job Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Wire Cut EDM machines such as Mitsubishi, Sodick, Fanuc, Makino, or AgieCharmilles.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions.
• Load, align, and clamp workpieces correctly.
• Set work coordinates, wire diameter, offsets, and machining parameters.
• Load and verify CNC programs.
• Set wire tension, flushing pressure, cutting speed, and other parameters.
• Monitor machining operations and prevent wire breakage.
• Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Make necessary offset/program corrections.
• Perform basic machine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
