Wire EDM Machinist - Entry Level

We are seeking an entry-level Wire EDM Machinist prepared to enter a discipline defined by precision, patience, and technical rigor. This is not high-speed production machining. It is deliberate, detail-intensive work where microns are the differentiator between part acceptance or rejection.

What You Will Do

• Assist in setup and operation of Wire EDM machines
• Load and align workpieces according to setup documentation
• Thread wire and monitor automatic wire threading systems
• Review and follow technical drawings, tool designs, and setup sheets
• Measure and verify tight-tolerance features using precision inspection tools
• Monitor machine conditions and dielectric system performance
• Perform basic machine maintenance on a regular basis
• Perform basic offsets and adjustments under supervision
• Maintain detailed documentation of setups and results
• Adhere strictly to safety and quality requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical education in machining, toolmaking, or manufacturing preferred
• Strong math fundamentals (geometry, decimals, tolerances)
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in precision manufacturing
